The making of The Divine

The making of The Divine

It's the year 20- something and I trip across a stunning image on Instagram. I followed the wormhole and found the models page and hit follow.

When Alexis and I first started to talk we agreed we wanted to work together. Roll forward to 2021 as I'm packing to move overseas and we FINALLY in the same place at the same time... almost! It was the day before the packers came.

Imagery often floods my mind daily. Some of it sticks around and sometimes it disappears as quickly as it came. It's a blessing and a curse.

If someone tells me a story- no matter how graphic, a movie begins in my head and I often have to ask people to stop telling me the story. When Alexis and I began brainstorming I had a number of ideas so when she arrived with a swag full of gowns and props we fell into creative heaven.

It took a few months to be able to start work on this image due to the removal, but I'm thrilled to be back and working again.

Notes from Jules:

This piece is the first of what I feel will be a few in a series. I adored being able to work alongside Alexis finally and it took me some time away from work to develop her image how I originally envisioned it. Alexis is such a luminescent light and has such an ease to her that working together was a breeze. I couldn't have asked for a better model for this concept.

Utilizing both stock and photographed elements this one turned out exceptionally.
